This place is double win!!! Location is great for outdoor adventures and checking out Hudson Valley sites. The house itself is perfect for lounging and relaxing.
We hosted family from out of town over the holidays and the space very comfortably accommodated all 8 of us.
The kitchen was well stocked – including basic pantry/kitchen essentials.
Large allocated space downstairs thats great for children / teens to hang out.
Very easy check in / check out process and clear instructions provided electronically (yes!)
Even in winter outdoor space / landscaping and view and setting were beautiful. We would definitely book again! Thank you Red Cottage.

A wonderful stay for my family and I. This home has it all! A great kitchen, spacious living room, amazing views! Host was very accommodating, easy to communicate with, and provided information in a timely manner. Thank you for everything! Hoping to book again in the future!
This house was genuinely stellar. perfectly and tastefully furnished with
This house was genuinely stellar. perfectly and tastefully furnished with quality items and nothing was too fragile. The playroom was the best fun, the whole space was full of light and windows. Everything was so clean, it looked like the oven was brand new. They had every supply and a million towels, amazing water pressure, supremely comfortable beds and softest carpets. Many Nest thermostats available! The house was very child friendly in terms of what the space offered and the layout. There were 2 problems. 1. The steps going up had very tall gaps between them, great design but not ok for toddlers, they have gates which helped but forgetting to close or lock a gate for a second and the baby could have slid straight through them to the basement. 2. The bars in the fence around the porch are also wide enough for a child to slide through and each corner of the fence had very large gaps. Practically this meant we couldn’t let the kids go out on the balcony or be alone for even 5 minutes

Any linens or furnishings damaged beyond repair will also be subject to replacement charges. These situations are considered outside the scope of routine housekeeping and require specialized attention to ensure the safety and well-being of our team.
ACCURATE GUEST COUNT
The number of guests must be accurately disclosed at the time of booking. While we don’t charge extra for additional guests up to the home’s maximum occupancy, this information is essential so we can properly prepare and stock the home. Please note that penalties may apply if guest counts are inaccurate or intentionally misrepresented.
OUTSIDE SERVICE PROVIDERS
Outside staff such as private chefs, massage therapists, or other service providers are welcome, but prior approval is required before they come on-site.

This airbnb is absolutely stunning. It looks even better than the pictures. Though it’s only an hour driving from New York but it’s feels a real disconnect from the city life - very peaceful surroundings. You can over look into the mountain far away and enjoy sunset everyday. The movie room downstairs creates a theater experience. We have painted a wonderful memory over the weekend at this Airbnb - felt sad when we close the door behind us on the last day.

This home was great for a large group of people, sort of felt like a ski lodge— lots of places for groups to gather and comfortably talk inside and outside.
PROS: The beds were incredibly comfortable with lots of fluffy pillows and down comforters. The kitchen is stocked well enough to get through a short-term stay. We made several meals in including grilling burgers for 6 people.
Great laundry room, plenty of parking and close to town. FANTASTIC VIEWS.
CONS: Although there are plenty of bedrooms, take note that the showers are limited to two in the entire home. Also note, there is only a regular coffee pot, no Keurig machine.

We stayed at the Red Cottage for an extended weekend
We stayed at the Red Cottage for an extended weekend with the family and loved our time there! The house came fully stocked with everything we could possibly need, and it is an especially great place to stay with kids (baby proofed stairs, lots of toys in a comfortable padded area in the basement, and all the baby gear you could need). It was spacious and comfortable, and exactly as pictured. Would come back again!

Super big spacious house. We had 4 kids with us and took advantage of the large play area downstairs. We also used the bbq and the complete kitchen. Great house would definitely come back.

West Point Graduation
We reserved this house for a very important occasion. It was perfect for 8-10 people. It is NOT a good option if you have OLDER people that cannot climb stairs. The outdoor views are the BEST. The furniture was GREAT. The appliances were WONDERFUL. The house is FABULOUS.

We had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving. Red Cottag were extremely responsive and helpful in preparation and during our stay. The home is a great place for family to come together with bedrooms on multiple levels and a playroom for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. The views are incredible, and we enjoyed the large windows. We'd recommend this to any families, and stay again.

We stayed for 4 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday with another family. In total we had 4 adults and 5 kids all under the age of 10. The downstairs play room was a huge hit with the kids! And the baby gates mounted on the stairs from the main level were perfect for keeping the toddlers contained. The kitchen was well-stocked and all the sleeping spaces were very comfortable. As a bonus, while the listing shows 5 bedrooms there’s an extra empty room on the basement level just off the playroom. It was the perfect spot to set up a travel crib.
Communication with the hosts was smooth throughout. As we were getting ready to pull out of the driveway after checking out our car showed a flat tire. The hosts allowed us to overstay our checkout time by several hours so the kids could be inside while we dealt with getting the car towed and serviced.

This location was one of the top 3 I’ve stay at near Cornwall. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Linens and towels and pillows were very clean ( no stray hairs). Warm showers and working amenities throughout.
The views were beautiful, the decks and outdoor area usable and well keep. Wide driveway, covered entry, after a few rock-terraces steps. Two large TV areas with nice couches.
We liked the extra rooms and convenience of the 1/2 bath off the kitchen. We didn’t use the appliances it they were available and modern.
Gotta like stairs or stay in the master. No stairs to the master room.

Great location for a weekend at West Point with plenty of space and beautiful views! We had one maintenance issue during our stay and the host went above and beyond to try to keep us comfortable while traveling with young children. They throughly enjoyed the downstairs playroom while we enjoyed the well stocked kitchen and bathrooms! Would definitely recommend the Red Cottage for family or multiple families visiting the area
