The view of the lake is gorgeous. There’s lots to do in the area – we spent a week and the time flew by. The house is very comfortable (loved the little fireplace) and clean.

These situations are considered outside the scope of routine housekeeping and require specialized attention to ensure the safety and well-being of our team.
ACCURATE GUEST COUNT
The number of guests must be accurately disclosed at the time of booking. While we don’t charge extra for additional guests up to the home’s maximum occupancy, this information is essential so we can properly prepare and stock the home. We spent an amazing week at this airbnb. The home is very well located with plenty of privacy right on the lake while still close enough to Stone Ridge, New Paltz, and Kingston. The home is well laid out and well appointed. The view from the living room and porch is second to none. We’d love to stay here again, it’s a perfect get away from the city.

Our plan was to spend the weekend hiking, but April
Our plan was to spend the weekend hiking, but April showers derailed that idea. Considering our group size which included an infant and dog I had concerns about spending the weekend inside, but once we arrived that concern melted away. The floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pond provided a beautiful view and we loved that the TV (1 of 2 great TV spaces) was in another window filled room. Everything felt incredibly new and clean. I do appreciate that wood floors look nice and are easier to clean but there's no way for sound to be absorbed. My only note for people to consider is that if you have a group who talks above a whisper and are on different sleep schedules, it may feel noisy. But overall one of my favorite airbnbs!

We had a great stay at Red Cottage. The back deck overlooking the lake, enjoying a bottle of wine made for a great early evening. This house had everything for a great weekend getaway.
We didn't start well as the wifi was not working
We didn't start well as the wifi was not working and no cell service made it stressful to communicate with them and other arriving guests.
However once past that initial distaste, the place was truly wonderful for our stay. Gorgeous setting, all the things we needed for a comfortable stay. The house was exactly what we needed.

Great place to stay. The pictures do not do it justice. Even more beautiful in person tbh. The host was fast with responses whenever we had a question about something. They even provided me with the name of the comforter they use in the residence because my partner loved it so much lol. Would definitely stay here again.

The Florida room was a wonderful bonus to wind down the day, and the pond view, whether enjoyed from the deck or visible throughout much of the interior, made the vacation even more exciting and enjoyable.

This is exactly what my family needed. An Aha time away from all the busyness that surrounded us. The view was beautiful overlooking the frozen lake and trees. The house was clean and comfortable. It was roomy yet small enough to keep close with our loved ones. We got lucky to enjoy the snow. Before leaving the snow melted and nature gave us a new view :). It was a lovely stay. The only down side was we had to keep the standup fan while using the oven :(…very sensitive alarm. Overall 5/5. It was was a wonderful stay and my family enjoyed it very much.

We had an amazing stay at the house! It was spacious and cozy at the same time and had everything we needed for our stay. The children really appreciated having all the puzzles and board games that kept them busy during the day and in the evening while we were relaxing by the fireplace. The host was very helpful and responsive. The check in and check out process were smooth. Will definitely be back again!

This was the greatest bnb we have ever stayed at. There was this winding road leading down to the house and what a sight to see when you get to the driveway. It is completely private and you’re surrounded by trees. I enjoyed peaceful mornings with a cup of coffee and a book from the many options around the house. We spent a lot of time with my toddler in the tv room/sunroom. The house is spacious but cozy with plenty of seating. We enjoyed making meals in the kitchen as it was fully stocked. We didn’t end up using the basement bedroom, we felt we would be too far away from our 3 year old but the main bedroom had a king size bed and we all fit comfortably. The basement is perfect for older kids, there were lots of books, puzzles and a tv. Lots of seating too. The best part is it opens into the backyard so there was a lot of natural light, it didn’t give off creepy basement vibes. And the outdoor space was just magical. We used the grill and enjoyed a nice dinner on the deck. Thank you!!

This home is absolutely beautiful, and the view it provides of the pond is second to none. It has everything that was described in the listing and more. The home also had more than enough room for the handicapped individual that was in our party to freely and comfortably move around. The host was also extremely accommodating as well as tremendously attentive and responsive to any issues or discrepancies that we had during our stay. Will definitely be booking this home again in the near future!

A great place to stay in the Catskills. Home is clean and open with great views of Lyonsville Pond from throughout the house. It is close the restaurants, farmers markets and hiking/biking trails.

The house is beautiful and spacious. The location is perfect for nearby hiking. We arrived during a snowstorm, which made for some gorgeous views. It does take awhile for the house to warm up. When we arrived, the heat was not on and it was VERY chilly inside. The wood stove came in handy!
The owners are attentive and they contacted a plow driver the next day so we could get out of the driveway. The kitchen is minimally stocked with oil/salt/pepper, and the stove is a bit temperamental. But all in all, a very nice and peaceful stay.

The house is beautiful and in a beautiful setting. The big windows fill the space with light and look onto a superb lake. The house is very spacious, modern and convenient, with great design touches. The hosts were very responsive and very helpful. Arrowood Farms and Inness are two great spots in the immediate area (Arrowood is great for kids to run around and play while the adults enjoy a locally-brewed beer, outdoors).
We'd all go back and stay a few more days in this fantastic spot in a heartbeat if we could.

This was such an amazing Airbnb, the house was extremely extremely clean, and we felt so at home once we got there. The open layout of the house makes it very warm and welcoming. I can be pretty judgemental when it comes to looking for clean and tidy Airbnb‘s and this was definitely one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed at. Everything was spotless, and there were so many different rooms that we spent time in and it somehow made the house feel even bigger. The basement is massive and the view of the lake that you wake up to in the morning is magical. The hosts were so responsive and helpful to us during our stay. We couldn’t recommend this place more, and we would love to say again!

Beautiful house! One bedroom on each level. The twin beds are in the basement, the queen bed on the main floor, and the master suite up on the loft. It was a great layout for our group of 6! The location is far enough away that it is extremely peaceful at night, and the views of the lake were beautiful! I would definitely stay here again.

Between all of the books, games, and puzzles and the two TV viewing areas, we hardly minded having to stay indoors on a rainy weekend. We would absolutely stay here again!

(The sound carries quite well over the lake.) The hosts assured us that hunting is strictly prohibited within 500 ft of residential areas by law.)
