We were very happy with our stay at Meadow Top cottage! The house was cozy and well appointed, and the grounds were maintained despite snow every day. Our only negative feedback is that the lighting in both of the bathrooms was extremely fluorescent and actually too bright to have on at night! Thank you for having us!

EXCESSIVE CLEANING FEES
We kindly ask that guests treat the home with care and respect. Should the property require cleaning beyond the standard turnover—due to excessive mess or incidents involving bodily fluids such as blood, vomit, or waste—a $500 fee may apply. Any linens or furnishings damaged beyond repair will also be subject to replacement charges. These situations are considered outside the scope of routine housekeeping and require specialized attention to ensure the safety and well-being of our team.
ACCURATE GUEST COUNT
The number of guests must be accurately disclosed at the time of booking. While we don’t charge extra for additional guests up to the home’s maximum occupancy, this information is essential so we can properly prepare and stock the home. Please note that penalties may apply if guest counts are inaccurate or intentionally misrepresented.
OUTSIDE SERVICE PROVIDERS
Outside staff such as private chefs, massage therapists, or other service providers are welcome, but prior approval is required before they come on-site.
SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENTS
Guests may be required to sign a rental agreement. If applicable, it will be sent after the booking is confirmed.
SEPTIC
Please be mindful of the septic system and do not flush anything down the toilets or drains other than toilet paper. This includes any and all personal hygiene products, baby wipes, bleaches and strong chemical cleaners.

Had a great time staying in this beautiful cabin in the woods. Everything was spotless and clean, and the setting was so charming and peaceful. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Beautiful valley and mountain vistas made for nice scenery throughout our stay. The outdoor fire pit was a lovely touch and perfect for evening relaxation. The cottage itself is newly updated, stocked and cozy, and despite its size, it comfortably sleeps six adults.
One thing future guests should know: the listing could be clearer about the property setup. There are two other homes on the property - one large house and one smaller one - located about a few hundred feet from this cottage, so it’s not the secluded getaway it might appear to be. The shared driveway means you may see other cars in the shared driveway. While this didn’t ruin our experience, it would be helpful for the listing to set proper expectations about the shared nature of the property for anyone seeking complete privacy.

Pristine cottage with gorgeous views from the front terrace. Quiet relaxing and beautiful location. Comfortable beds and spotless bathrooms. Kitchen and living room are cosy but equipped with everything you need. I will look to stay again anytime I’m in the area.

My friends and I had a great stay while we went snowboarding at Butternut! It’s close to Great Barrington and lots of local restaurants. Would highly recommend staying here for your next ski trip.

It was very clean, well-decorated, and made very comfortable by very nice amenities - linens, toiletries, sundry items like an iron and ironing board, extra blankets, etc. Very kind to find a gift upon arrival of a bag of excellent, fresh local coffee beans. When we needed to reach the property manager they were very responsive and cordial, and they stayed in touch (unobtrusively) throughout our stay with helpful updates on local resources and happenings. Would definitely stay here again when next in the area - it was just lovely! Thank you to our gracious and detail-oriented hosts!

The cottage is set on a very large estate. Views are breathtakingly beautiful and the surroundings are very peaceful. The cottage itself is pretty and well decorated. Close to Great Barrington. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Really loved staying at the little cabin in the woods! It is very cozy and functional.
It looks newly renovated, bathrooms impecable. Everything worked smoothly for us: fireplace, stove, oven, hot water, heating.
It is a the top of a hill, in the middle of the woods with beautiful views. Many nice hikes around, also small towns with coffee shops and convenience stores.
Larger town only 15 minutes away.

This comfortable, well designed and thoughtfully equipped cottage was perfect
This comfortable, well designed and thoughtfully equipped cottage was perfect for our group of four. It is in a peaceful, rural setting and offers stunning views from inside the house and from its outdoor seating areas. Lots of great hiking opportunities nearby, as well as scenic country roads and charming towns and villages with good to great local fare.

Absolutely wonderful oasis on a beautiful property with amazing views!
Absolutely wonderful oasis on a beautiful property with amazing views! This cottage was better then we could have ever expected, it was tucked away in the woods making it incredibly peaceful and quite. We loved to get up early and watch the sun rises each morning as the view of the mountains was spectacular. We had 6 nights here and didn’t want to leave, we felt we found somewhere really special. We met the property owners and they where extremely friendly to us, even giving us good local hiking places to explore. The surrounding towns are also nice with plenty of delicious places to eat. Don’t miss out on this beautiful home that would be perfect for any occasion. A family or couple could stay here, either way this home is worth the trip!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway. We did lose power but they had a backup generator that automatically turned on for the few hours that power was lost so it was like we never lost power. Will stay here again in the future.

Beautiful, peaceful 56 acres to walk through fields and woods. The most noise we heard was from occasional passing planes. We often had rainy days with stunning sunlit skies at sunset and could watch the storms crossing the valley. Except for a couple of spiders, the house was impeccably clean. Our contact helped us book on the fly for the evening we arrived! (Thank You!) FYI-We did struggle with Wi-Fi in the area that was mostly an interference with gps, so be prepared. (WiFi at the rental works well.) They do require extra steps for check-in (sending ID pic, signing contract, etc.) which would have been fine if we weren’t booking the same day and struggling with Wi-Fi. There are two other houses on the grounds, but we rarely saw anyone. We hope to return to this beautiful, peaceful spot.

The cottage and property were both beautiful. The area and location are fantastic. We had a little issue getting into the place when we checked in the first evening, and because of the time we did not hear back from the property team until the next day. We did connect with Airbnb support, which provided some help, but ultimately got ourselves in. Outside of that one snafu, truly loved the place—a great setup for a weekend away as a couple or as a group of friends. Would love to return.
