Well-behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval (and $75 fee per pet, per stay). Please clean up after your pet both inside and outside the house. Sorry, cats are not permitted.

SMOKING
No smoking is permitted inside the house. If you must smoke, please do so outside and dispose of butts properly. Any violation of this policy is subject to a $500 fee.
EXCESSIVE CLEANING FEES
We kindly ask that guests treat the home with care and respect. Should the property require cleaning beyond the standard turnover—due to excessive mess or incidents involving bodily fluids such as blood, vomit, or waste—a $500 fee may apply. Any linens or furnishings damaged beyond repair will also be subject to replacement charges. These situations are considered outside the scope of routine housekeeping and require specialized attention to ensure the safety and well-being of our team.
ACCURATE GUEST COUNT
The number of guests must be accurately disclosed at the time of booking. While we don’t charge extra for additional guests up to the home’s maximum occupancy, this information is essential so we can properly prepare and stock the home. Please note that penalties may apply if guest counts are inaccurate or intentionally misrepresented.
OUTSIDE SERVICE PROVIDERS
Outside staff such as private chefs, massage therapists, or other service providers are welcome, but prior approval is required before they come on-site.

Perfect weekend spot located just outside of Chatham, NY. Clean,
Perfect weekend spot located just outside of Chatham, NY. Clean, uncluttered, and comfortable spot on 5 acres with a lovely yard and fire pit. We reserved the house for a long weekend and reached out to the manager to see if we could stay an extra night. Communication was fast and they were so accommodating. Our daughter loved the tree loft and roaming around the property. Great place!

We rented this property for a month this summer and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is really well equipped for any length of stay - everything we needed was already in place, from a well-equipped kitchen/dining area to superior linens, excellent wifi and plenty of space for working from home as well as taking a break inside/outside. The location itself is also superb, with easy access to the lovely town of Chatham only minutes away, and plenty of interesting biking/running routes right out the door. The property management company was also outstanding and incredibly helpful and responsive. We can't recommend this location highly enough!

This home makes the most of its wooded setting, and though we highly recommend it, one should be aware you can hear the rumble of nearby trains and vehicles on the road.

We were a party of four and our dog. We spent the weekend mostly in the cabin and a bit around the area because of weather conditions. The cabin is beautiful and the style clean and tasteful. We had a wonderful time and felt at home all the time. The beds were comfortable and we had everything needed to cook our meals. We also enjoyed the books, and the spaces with a view everywhere. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. Thank you!

Great stay! Enjoyed the wood burning stove and snowy forest views. Perfect location, quick drive to Chatham and Hudson. Loved cooking in the fully stocked kitchen. Great recommendations in the house guide for local eats and shops. [We especially loved: Berry Farm for groceries, Bartlett House pastries, Morningbird Cafe breakfast sandwich (!), Village Yoga in Kinderhook.] We visited with our baby and the cabin had everything we could need. Place was clean. Coordination with property manager was seamless. Definitely seems like the owners have made some improvements based on past reviews. Thanks for the stay! Can’t wait to come back!

The entrance to the home has a lot of rock stairs (that wobble) and steep steps to the front door.
Home is located near a road that is traveled frequently during the day by local cars. Not a lot of noise from the street but the house was not as secluded as I imagined — there are no blinds/shades on the windows.
The kitchen, dining and living spaces were very functional and great for our visit with family and with small children. The bedrooms where clean, however the placement of the beds could be better — one person always gets a side of the bed with a very narrow/inconvenient entry.
We had 4 adults who chose to use the upstairs bath. Downstairs shower is less clean and inconvenient to the bedrooms.
There was wood for the wood stove but no fire starter material provided (newspaper, kindling or fire start product). The baseboard heat controls were very effective

The Nordic Cabin in Chatham NY is our goto spot
The Nordic Cabin in Chatham NY is our goto spot with our family for a winter break outside of NYC. This was our second time there and our stay was as good, if not better than the first. We love how minimal yet cozy the house is with its modern Scandinavian design. The proximity from the cute town is great as well as the accessibility to surrounding towns and Ski mountains is just perfect. Dealing with Posto Property Management has been so seamless and easy which makes a big difference when going through the process. We will definitely be back, now that this has become our winter vacay-getaway spot!

Our stay at the Nordic Cabin in Chatham, NY was perfect! Coming from New York City, we wanted a winter getaway that had privacy but not too secluded from surrounding towns. The Nordic Cabin was the perfect place. It was accessible to Catamount Ski Resort, Great Barrington and Hudson just to name a few. The local town of Chatham was super cute with a great local brewery that served delicious food and fantastic beer. The cabin itself was amazing. Modern, clean, stylish and cozy all at the same time. The perfect size for our extended family and the Hosts, Posto Property, were really great! They made the whole process seamless and they remained accessible the whole time, even giving us an inclimate weather update during our stay. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a great stay. Definitely had the Nordic vibe throughout. Very clean and had everything we needed and more. Very nice coffee and all the brewing methods you could want. Just the right distance outside of the charming town of Chatham, which had several great restaurants, shops and a large supermarket. Will definitely try to go back in the warmer weather to try the outdoor pizza oven.

This house had a modern and roomy cabin vibe. The living room area was great for relaxing near the wood burning stove, and the kitchen was big and spacious for cooking meals with a group. Beds were comfy, and the setup was thoughtful (bed side lights & tables), we felt like we were at a hotel (in a good way)! The host did a great job picking out upstate themed books and magazines for the space as well. Lots of nature to access near by, along with great restaurants and bakeries within the surrounding area.

The Nordic Cabin was a beautiful Scandinavian-style getaway that truly felt like an escape to another country. Such an easy drive, quiet and peaceful area. The home is beautifully designed with amazing sunlight coming in through windows and doors. Tons of space throughout the home. Beds were extremely comfortable, warm duvet/down comforters, nice sheets, and there were plenty of towels (plush and nice towels, by the way). Shampoo/conditioner/lotion are all provided. It is clear that the owners of this home were thoughtful with all details. As someone who cooked every meal while staying - the kitchen is outfitted with all the essentials for group dinners - pots, pans, serveware, foil, even a Vitamix and cast iron pan. Such a welcoming touch to have coffee and a cider from the local cidery upon arrival. Fast and reliable WiFi (4 people working with no issues). Washer/Dryer available as well as all modern appliances. Minutes away from Chatham, a roadside market with local produce and the cidery. And such a short drive to Hudson, another cute town with tons of restaurants/shops. Seamless check-in/check-out process and comprehensive/easy to read house guide. Would definitely go back. Thank you for sharing this amazing home!!

My family, friends, and I had a wonderful time at the Nordic cabin. The cabin was beautiful, clean, well-equipped, and easy to find. The surrounding area is lovely, and we thoroughly felt at home. The house is cozy and homey. We all had an excellent experience cooking, playing games, watching movies, and sitting around the fire reading; the property manager, Posto, was accommodating and always responsive. We felt well looked after and had a peaceful and beautiful 11 days in Chatham. Thank you so much for making our stay perfect. I would highly recommend the house! We are excited to return to the area soon.

Great stay with my sons while in town for a workshop. Host helpful and quick with communications. Kitchen and eating area worked really well - we enjoyed meals together there. Also lots of comfy spots to sit and read. Foosball table a fun extra! Thank you!
The property management responded quickly to our request to book
The property management responded quickly to our request to book the home the next day. We had a family emergency to attend to in the area and had to fly across country. The coded entry allowed us to arrive in the middle of the night. We really only slept, showered, laundry, & ate snacks in the home. We never cooked or used the outside facilities because we spent most of our days at our local family's home & the hospital in Hudson. The house is close to Chatham & Valatie for groceries & eating out. When driving in the area be careful of deer. There are a lot of them. We did get a cool surprise one evening and saw two black bears just 15-20 ft from the home in the backyard. The home has a lot of bugs, but that is expected in such a natural setting. Home was clean. The home was stocked well. I'd suggest an iron & ironing board. If there was one, we couldn't find it. I'd add a blind in the upstairs bathroom because it faces the street. If available, we will stay again when in the area.

This place is so beautiful in November. Even with no leaves on the trees, the views are amazing. Watching the deer in the yard is so amazing and peaceful. The furnishing inside the house are wonderful quality. It was SO clean. Very well stocked- we made many meals at home and never needed to purchase anything extra. It’s so cozy. The area upstairs is great for kids. I highly recommend!

The house is lovely and modern (like the photos!) and is in great condition. It has really comfy beds with extra pillows and a well-stocked kitchen. It was rainy during our stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the fire-pit but we loved coffee out back in the mornings while the dog romped around. Some reviews mentioned the trains, but they only passed by a few times all weekend and it was not disturbing (kinda charming actually). Note that there’s a high cleaning fee with this property and extra paperwork for security reasons you’ll be asked to fill out.
