Only after a few days they told me the owner doesn’t accept cats, only dogs. Therefore, the listing was not clear enough and I was disappointed. I was given the option to cancel the reservation without penalty, but I decided to travel without my cat (although she would have loved the place).
I only share that because it was the only thing wrong with the place; everything else was PERFECT and I’d recommend for anyone. The sauna is very cozy, the kitchen has everything. The place even has luggage racks for you to unpack, chef’s kiss! I’d 100% stay there again.
My only suggestion would be to update the listing description and say the cottage is dog friendly only.

Well-behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval (and $75 fee per pet, per stay). Please clean up after your pet both inside and outside the house. Sorry, cats are not permitted.
Failure to disclose any pets in advance may result in additional fees or penalties.
SMOKING
No smoking is permitted inside the house. If you must smoke, please do so outside and dispose of butts properly. Any violation of this policy is subject to a $500 fee.
EXCESSIVE CLEANING FEES
We kindly ask that guests treat the home with care and respect. Should the property require cleaning beyond the standard turnover—due to excessive mess or incidents involving bodily fluids such as blood, vomit, or waste—a $500 fee may apply. Any linens or furnishings damaged beyond repair will also be subject to replacement charges. These situations are considered outside the scope of routine housekeeping and require specialized attention to ensure the safety and well-being of our team.
ACCURATE GUEST COUNT
The number of guests must be accurately disclosed at the time of booking. While we don’t charge extra for additional guests up to the home’s maximum occupancy, this information is essential so we can properly prepare and stock the home. Please note that penalties may apply if guest counts are inaccurate or intentionally misrepresented.
OUTSIDE SERVICE PROVIDERS
Outside staff such as private chefs, massage therapists, or other service providers are welcome, but prior approval is required before they come on-site.

The house was such a cool and interesting place in an absolutely beautiful spot! When we got out of the car and heard the roaring River it just calmed and relaxed us instantly. There is nothing like having that amount of space and peacefulness to do whatever you’d like. My boyfriend and I always stay in a wildwood home and will continue to do so!

Amazing house for those that want to get away and need peace and quiet. WiFi was great, kids were able to play on their devices while I had conference video calls. We grabbed groceries in another town on our way to the home and had no need to go back out since the home had all the staples. I’m looking forward to staying at their other properties.

One of the best Airbnb's we've stayed at! The Post Haus had everything we could ever need and more to make our 4 day stay incredible. Great home, great layout, beautifully furnished, cozy bed linens, pillows and blankets for cool VT nights, retro record player + great records, sound machine and a chromotherapy sauna to soothe the soul after long days of hiking and exploring. A truly magical spot by the river! We can't wait to come back in the summer. LOVED IT!

The inside was very cleaned and well equipped with everything you need (they left snacks in the kitchen). They were also cleaning supplies to clean kitchen after dinner. My kids also loved the little details inside such as the heart shaped rocks (which inspired us to look for our own), the LEGO model of the house, and the plethora of games and activities available for the evenings. Wonderful stay here - perfect for our family of 4. The setting is absolutely stunning - waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the nearby river is pure bliss! And they've done a great job with furnishing the home, with lots of thoughtful touches - snacks, coffee and tea, toiletries, spare blankets, towels, etc. And the host was incredibly responsive and flexible. I spent a couple great days skiing in the morning then relaxing back at the house and cooking yummy meals in the very user friendly kitchen with all the things needed. The hosts were responsive and kindly checked on us given the stormy weather. The location made for easy access to the Stratton without having to encounter the main mountain route traffic.

The Post Haus was exactly as it appeared in the photos. There was plenty of space for our family of four - plus the dog. It made a great base for our ski trip, with an easy drive to four great ski mountains - and not too far from Wagmore Kennels for doggy daycare while we skied. We especially loved being able to park under the house, keeping the car out of the snow overnight. The kitchen was well equipped and easily handled our Christmas dinner, with an oven and fridge large enough for our food haul. The hosts have thought of all the little things that make staying somewhere easy including towels, linens, bathroom products, trash bags, dishwasher tabs etc. The setting is picture-perfect on a huge plot. I imagine it would be lovely in summer with seating areas to take in the beautiful views and sounds of the river. It’s close enough to Jamaica Village to quickly grab any forgotten essentials, yet so peaceful that we didn’t see another person or a single lit window in any direction.

West River Provisions just down the street has everything you need, and Honeypie about 10 minutes away was excellent for lunch.
House was clean, free of clutter, and very comfortable. It’s exactly what we needed for a long weekend away from the city.

we had a perfect vermont weekend! the house was clean, comfortable and cozy. the sauna was a bonus! excellent property with the soothing sound of the stream. fire pit perfectly situated and user friendly. we went for a long hike at nearby jamaica state park. a delightful weekend-we’d gladly stay there again!

The space is beautifully decorated and very well-equipped (for humans and our dog!) and we were very happy here. The hosts were very responsive during a very stressful time for us (July 2023 floods) and we were so grateful that we were able to stay in such lovely surroundings in a house with modern amenities, a lovely big outdoor area, and a backup generator when we lost power during the floods! Would love to come back and stay again.

This Airbnb was absolutely perfect! The space itself was super cute with a modern interior that felt cozy and inviting. It was also dog-friendly, which was a huge plus for us! One of the highlights was sitting on the porch and listening to the sound of the river just beyond the backyard, so peaceful and grounding. We loved being able to walk along the river nearby, and the small local shops in town had so much charm. Plus, Manchester was just a short drive away, making it easy to explore more of the area. We already booked our trip to come back in the fall!

The idyllic setting is very peaceful and the bubbling brook will put any insomniac to sleep. Our hosts Lauren and Chris were excellent and very responsive before, during, and after booking. They’ve thought of everything you might need and the welcome snacks were a very nice touch. The place was pristine when we checked in. The village was very small and the store lacked some essentials but the grocery store a few miles away had everything we needed. There was an issue with the a/c and our hosts responded very quickly and compensated us for the inconvenience. This is the first Airbnb that we’d definitely return to in the future and our experience has unfortunately raised our expectations for all our future Airbnb rentals.

The kitchen was well stocked with quality cookware and utensils. The hosts thought of everything one might need. We had fun exploring Stratton Mountain and the nearby Jamaica State Park. Our favorite thing to do was to sit out on the balcony to watch the birds and listen to the brook. Hoping to return to The Post Haus!

When I booked Red Cottage, the public listing shared the place was "pet friendly", which was perfect, as I wanted to bring my cat with my family and I to the trip. Before doing the reservation, I said I was traveling with my family and my cat, and the reservation was accepted.
Only after a few days they told me the owner doesn't accept cats, only dogs. Therefore, the listing was not clear enough and I was disappointed. I was given the option to cancel the reservation without penalty, but I decided to travel without my cat (although she would have loved the place).
I only share that because it was the only thing wrong with the place; everything else was PERFECT and I'd recommend for anyone. The sauna is very cozy, the kitchen has everything. The place even has luggage racks for you to unpack, chef's kiss! I'd 100% stay there again.
My only suggestion would be to update the listing description and say the cottage is dog friendly only.

We had a perfect early spring weekend away at this beautiful home. The location is incredibly private, featuring a lovely babbling brook in the backyard, and the house itself is filled with fun and relaxing features (like the woodburning stove and cozy sauna!) and is a great size for a small group to relax and recharge. Our group of two couples was perfectly comfortable sharing the space. Lauren and Chris were very responsive and helpful as well — our trip came at the tail end of a huge winter storm, which brought multiple feet of snow to the area, but any anticipated winter issues that popped up (including a power/generator outage) were addressed quickly and effectively. We would absolutely stay here again — and as gorgeous and quiet as the surroundings are in the winter, I can only imagine how peaceful and lush they are in the summer!

We used almost everything in and around the house (games, sauna, fireplace, …) and at the same time didn’t miss anything. It is conveniently located near several skiing areas that also provide outdoor activities in the summer. We had such a great & memorable time!!!

Felt at home right away, hosts were very responsive and the house was very very clean and convenient to Stratton (13mins). Had everything as advertised and then some: Plenty of outlets, convenient mag safe chargers by the bed, reading lights, streaming TV options, etc. The vintage Majestic fireplace was super cool and functional. Tons of firewood and fire starters but had to search for our own kinling to get it going (my only nit pick).
Overall the place was really really nice/clean and the pup loved it too. Oh, the Sauna was relaxing as well. We’d love to return.

Beautiful modern home in a serene setting! The location is remote, in the valley and right on the river. The home is impeccably designed, well appointed and has everything you could need.

The Post Haus was as advertised. It was clean and appeared to be maintained. The location is private and quiet - which was what we had wanted for our trip. We rented at the end of May and the brook was more rock than water. Just something to note if you are expecting different conditions. Our kiddo loved climbing the rocks so it was a win from his point of view. My husband had hoped to be able to fish and sadly he was out of luck. Overall, we had a positive experience and hope to check out another property with Wildwood Collective.

The cabin itself was cozy and had thoughtful details. We especially loved relaxing by the fireplace and listening to the sound of the nearby river. Every feature and amenity felt carefully chosen to create a relaxing, homey atmosphere. One of the highlights of our stay was being able to bring our wonderful dogs, who loved the open space and serene environment just as much as we did. The views were incredible from every angle, making mornings with a cup of coffee truly special.

Loved the beautiful Post Haus! Interior is brand new and cozy and fully functional. The red light sauna is a big plus! Modern kitchen is well-stocked and I cooked and baked non-stop. Gorgeous, gorgeous lot framed by a bucolic brook on one side and woods on the other. Lots of space to run around with the dog (or kids). The views from the windows are super relaxing and I enjoyed catching some November sun on the stunning balcony. I came up here with an EV and loved having a level 2 charger at the house! Everything was easy and the host super responsive and generous. I want to come back in the summer and check out all the swimming holes in the area.

We had an amazing stay at the Posthaus for our vacation this year. This cute little house was perfect for exactly what we needed. Upon arrival it was spotless and accommodating. The hosts did more than you could ask for from any other Airbnb! We enjoyed the backyard with direct access to the river, making s’mores and lighting fires every night. You can tell that the hosts are extremely welcoming by stocking the house full of little treats for their guests to enjoy. We would absolutely recommend this property over and over again and hope to come back one day!

Our kids loved the house, all of the game offerings (the Nintendo Classic knew their minds!) and the outdoor area. Our dogs loved the fireplace and the dog bowls! My husband and I loved the clean and state of the art kitchen, the warm and cozy bedroom and the sauna (a perfect way to warm up after being outside all day at Stratton for Harvestfest!) The property was a peaceful retreat for our busy, often times over scheduled family, and just what we needed for the long weekend away! Our hosts were incredibly responsive and so helpful and offered many things to do in the area. We can’t wait to come back again and also check out all of the other Wildwood Collective properties!

Booked this house for late October trip. The view was beautiful. 5 minutes away from a small town and grocery store. Flowing brook 50 feet off the property. Very peaceful relaxing location. House was very clean. Had no service but the Wi-Fi worked great. Smart tv allowed to watch Netflix. Being in the middle of almost no where was a concern to me with animals and being in the pitch black but the locks on the home and the raised foundation design allowed my worries to be rested. I really appreciate the host and everyone who helped build the property and cleaning the home cause the entire experience was perfect. If your thinking about booking this home, go for it. You will not regret it

We absolutely loved our stay at the Post Haus from the minute we turned into the driveway to our last cup of coffee overlooking the brook before we checked out! Such a serene, cozy place, with incredibly thoughtful touches and amenities; everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The interior is spotlessly clean and fresh — love the well-appointed kitchen and the cozy living room with the sweet yellow fireplace and record player. And the grounds are so great — one of our favorite activities was sitting listening to rush of the brook and stargazing at night.

Property is absolutely stunning!! It was so peaceful and quiet and you can’t beat that view every morning. Brought our dogs for a little get away and needless to say they had a blast! If you do bring your dog just know the sweet pups next door do come over to visit. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed our stay! The host was very accommodating to move us into the Post Haus after a maintenance issue came up with the property we had initially booked with them. We were happy they had this option so we didn’t have to find a place last minute, and the host’s communication was great throughout. The Post Haus itself is beautiful, clean, and well stocked with entertainment and essentials. Way better than most airbnbs. The outside space is amazing! Wish we had more time to enjoy it all! The house is conveniently located in Southern VT to visit a lot of cute towns, with most places within 30-45m. We will definitely stay again if we’re back to the area!

All instructions were super clear, and there is a helpful guide that provides emergency numbers for the local units, as well as great suggestions for hikes and activities. I would definitely recommend this stay, and I hope I get to visit again in the future.

What a special place. Very rare to find a mid-Century
What a special place. Very rare to find a mid-Century Modern gem by a river in the middle of the mountains. But here it is! Lovely design with house on stilts, filled with light and with forest, meadow and river views from each window. Very serious fire pit overlooking a roaring river, and beautiful strolls on the quiet road in front of the house. Inside everything was clean-lined and elegant, with a perfect sauna and high-quality appliances. Loved this quiet corner of Vermont as well, with sleepy-but-friendly Jamaica village only a few minutes away (with a very well-stocked country store and cute library), un-gentrified cottages and getaways hidden all over, and green green green. Only wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return soon!

This was a fantastic, unique house on a beautiful property. The kids loved the creek and fire pit for smores. The house was cozy and peaceful, but did not lack for updated amenities or comfort! There is not a lot of service in the area which adds to the peacefulness and charm, but the wifi was easy to connect to and had a strong signal. Also be aware that there are limited restaurant options around, but the kitchen is well equipped to make dinner at home. Great hiking nearby and easy access to Stratton mountain among other things. We really enjoyed our stay!

The house was very clean and maintained, well appointed with nice furnishings and kitchenware, and the Starlink internet was more than adequate for streaming and browsing. Very peaceful surroundings with a hill on one side and brook on the other (we were lucky to have water running on the brook). The fireplace was a definite plus for us!

This is one of our favorite places we’ve stayed with airbnb. Such a cool space! We loved sitting by the fire next to the river in the evenings. There are fun games and an eclectic collection of records for cozy evenings inside. Manchester is an easy drive with great restaurants and shops to check out. We drove up to Woodstock one day and had a nice afternoon there as well. Would love to stay here again for sure!
