Our stay at The Red Cottage for Valentines weekend was everthing we imagined. It was secluded and private without being difficult to find. The inside soaking tub was a dreamy way to start the morning and the hot tub felt so nice against the winter air, especially followed by a cow in the gorgeous wood stove. Mountain views were beautiful and we hope to come back when it’s warmer to enjoy some outdoor activities as well! The house was clean, stocked with wood and all the basics. Thank you Red Cottage!

We felt at home, cozy and comfortable. The atmosphere and beauty of the cabin were amazing. The accommodations were perfect and everything fell into place as it should! The mountainside views are beautiful and the space and seclusion are unmatched. I can’t wait to experience another season of the year here.
The house was perfect and we felt right at home
The house was perfect and we felt right at home with our doggie. They have so many wonderful books – i wish i could have stayed longer. The surrounding land was a perfect snowy landscape – so the hot tub did add i nice layer of warmth to the place. The amenities added an excellent dimension to the stay – alowung us to pamper ourselves. The morning walks with our furry companion, allowed us to get a bit of excercise and enjoy the cold crisp air. We went to Peekamoose resto, its about 45 minutes away, which was unexpectidly wonderul. Alround great spot if you like rest and being in nature, and the warm cabin helped us acclimate easily to the winter wonderland that surrounded us. Prepare to bring and make food as resto are about 30 to 45 minutes away.

AGE REQUIREMENT
Primary guest booking must be 25 years or older. The person booking should also not have any negative reviews.
PETS
Well-behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval (and $75 fee per pet, per stay). Please clean up after your pet both inside and outside the house. Sorry, cats are not permitted.
Failure to disclose any pets in advance may result in additional fees or penalties.
SMOKING
No smoking is permitted inside the house. If you must smoke, please do so outside and dispose of butts properly. Any violation of this policy is subject to a $500 fee.
EXCESSIVE CLEANING FEES
We kindly ask that guests treat the home with care and respect. Should the property require cleaning beyond the standard turnover—due to excessive mess or incidents involving bodily fluids such as blood, vomit, or waste—a $500 fee may apply. Any linens or furnishings damaged beyond repair will also be subject to replacement charges. These situations are considered outside the scope of routine housekeeping and require specialized attention to ensure the safety and well-being of our team.
ACCURATE GUEST COUNT
The number of guests must be accurately disclosed at the time of booking. While we don’t charge extra for additional guests up to the home’s maximum occupancy, this information is essential so we can properly prepare and stock the home. Please note that penalties may apply if guest counts are inaccurate or intentionally misrepresented.
OUTSIDE SERVICE PROVIDERS
Outside staff such as private chefs, massage therapists, or other service providers are welcome, but prior approval is required before they come on-site.
SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENTS
Guests may be required to sign a rental agreement. If applicable, it will be sent after the booking is confirmed.
SEPTIC
Please be mindful of the septic system and do not flush anything down the toilets or drains other than toilet paper. This includes any and all personal hygiene products, baby wipes, bleaches and strong chemical cleaners.

Property was well-stocked and so cozy for a 4-person, 2-night stay. I took off a star since we had zero service and no internet the whole time which made it impossible for one of the guests who was planning on studying over the weekend. If we had a heads up, she could've brought physical books instead of relying on internet. We ended up using the house phone to contact Red Cottage who in turn contacted the homeowners to help. The owner Mark came over to try and fix the wifi but it seemed a cable was broken and he wouldn't be able to get a new one by the time we left. Hot tub, fireplace inside, the kitchen, and bedrooms were all lovely. Would stay again.

Extremely cozy stay. Everything was super clean. It felt like home. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need. Bedrooms were extremely clean and the master bathroom was amazing. Toilet with heated seat and a bidet. The amenities were top-notch. We LOVED the hot tub!! Especially after a long day of hiking. The view from the backyard is gorgeous. So serene and peaceful. We saw plenty of deer and even some turkeys. This place is a hidden gem. Thank you so much for having us, we will be back!

I loved this place. Incredibly private, quiet & serene it’s the perfect getaway to unplug. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable and airy. And the hot tub was spacious and well maintained. Highly recommend this place for an upstate trip.

What a wonderful escape from the bush city life! Coming in December turned the experience into a winter wonderland. By far, one of my favorite airbnb places. The memories I took from this trip will last a lifetime. I tested up leaving because it felt like leaving behind a piece of paradise. I will absolutely book again in the future and recommend this spot to my friends!

Extremely charming, well furnished, quiet, with a great hot tub (and tub in the bedroom to boot). You absolutely need an AWD/4WD vehicle to get here in winter, though - the last 3/4-mile may not be plowed, and once you're there, you may not want to leave! But for a quiet, isolated place it's just fantastic.

Loved this cabin so much that I recommended other people to book it! The cabin was very spacious and cozy. Every room was clean when we got there, including the TWO bathrooms. I stayed in the master bedroom that connected to the master bathroom. I could go on and on about the heated toilet seat and bidet.
My favorite parts of the cabin were the hot tub and wood fire place. It was perfect for our winter getaway.
They had food and shopping recommendations, which helped us plan our trip. Aside from the instructions online and in the emails, they had an informative booklet with the rules and nearby places. Their customer service was quick and helpful. I would love to come back!

It was exactly what we needed. Wanted a cabin in the woods away from it all. The coziness of the home was so relaxing. The hot tub was amazing after a long hike. The stove warmed us very quickly. It was an amazing getaway that was surely needed! Would love to make this a yearly trip. Thank you!

It was pretty snowy so we didn’t leave the property but we really enjoyed a snowy walk through the woods around the house and the host came to plow us out the morning we were leaving and were very communicative about that.

Wow, what a wonderful place to get away! This lovely cabin had everything we needed and was the perfect place to relax and unwind from busy city life. We were lucky to see so many sweet deer and rabbits enjoying the outdoors as much as we were and we’d definitely stay again in the future! It was so nice, private, and peaceful; and stargazing in the hot tub was pretty exceptional. Highly recommend!

My husband and I couldn't have imagined a better spot for our 10-year wedding anniversary. The house was beautiful and filled with so many gorgeous antiques/details. The view was spectacular, visible from nearly every room! The outdoor seating on the patio, firepit, and meadow were where we spent most of our time. The wildlife was breathtaking. We had two turkeys fly over our heads, which is a definite first. Stargazing in the hottub was a dream!!! It was so helpful to have the written directions on hand as well as the local shop lists. They do not exaggerate about the road, get a 4x4 for it. The only downside was my fault. I forgot to ask if the pillows were down feathers, as I'm allergic. Luckily, I had antihistamines and the pillows in the second bedroom were polyfill. We've only been home for a few hours and are already planning our trip back.

My wife and I had an amazing time here. The place is cozy and well equipped for a comfortable stay. It was great to relax in the hot tub after a long hike and then rest by the fireplace, or to enjoy the sunrise flowing into the master bedroom on a cold February day.
The hosts were diligent and available. They provided precise instructions on how to get to the cabin and how to operate its various features. Would love to come back here again, but maybe during the summer this time!

Amazing cabin in the woods! It was exactly what we wanted for a weekend getaway from the city - quiet, private and peaceful. The cabin has full amenities, great kitchen and the hot tub is a nice bonus for us to relax. The wifi is good if you are working remotely too.

The cabin was beautifully maintained and had more amenities than expected! We especially loved the hot tub and the wood burning stove. Incredible views and beautiful property.
